Bolt was the hero of a popular television show in which he, along with his owner, a girl named Penny, defeated villains as a superdog. He sincerely believed everything that happened to him and had no idea that his adventures were written by screenwriters and his superpowers were the result of technical special effects, until one terrible day he accidentally ended up in New York – hundreds of miles away from Penny. Now Bolt must embark on an incredible journey across the country with a grumpy street cat and a daredevil hamster to learn that family and friends are far more important than thrilling adventures and fighting crime.
