Vladimir Levshin's wonderful book "In Search of the Stolen Stamp" is a continuation of the novellas "The Absent-Minded Master's Dissertation" and "The Absent-Minded Master's Travel Notes", which are part of the "Adventures of the Absent-Minded Master" cycle.
The plot of the book resembles a thrilling action movie: a careless artist from the distant country of Terranigugu depicted another famous traveler, Marco Polo, on the stamp instead of Christopher Columbus. Because of this mistake, the entire already printed edition of stamps was destroyed, except for two that were accidentally left over. After some time, they became worth a huge amount of money, and that's when these stamps were stolen from a collector. The Master and his companions set out in search of them!
Illustrator M. Afanasyeva.
