The Enchanted Forest is not far from the Dead Land: cross the Ghostly Valley, go around the Hill of Disappointment — and there it is, the Enchanted Forest, rustling with green leaves. Sometimes you enter it — a narrow path winds along, at the turn — an old oak, to the left a strawberry field, to the right sorrel, horsetails, a stream...

The heroes of this fairy tale know well what they need. The shy infant Celeste wants to gain confidence for the New Year's ball. The dragon Yaru needs the ingredients for a love potion. The swamp demon Gabriolus Snaits dreams of winning the heart of Princess Chiara and expanding his territories. And the knight Tristan the Suffering is trying to break free from the underwater kingdom of the Great Utopian to make it in time for the holiday in the Kingdom of Milk Mists. Meanwhile, around the Castle roams the mistress of darkness Karagula, who can destroy the little world if even one of the heroes feels unhappy on New Year's Eve.

ü  A psychological fairy tale with a captivating intrigue.

ü  Carrollian absurdity and the cozy atmosphere of the Moomin world.

ü  The names in this story can be read as a separate fairy tale.

ü  The book won in the "Silver Pen" category in the III season of the "White Crow" literary competition.

ü  The book cover was a finalist of the I season of the "Super Cover" illustration competition.

"How do stories appear? It's as if I'm watching a movie through steamed-up glass. You rub it to see better, the picture is blurry at first, and then clearer and clearer. If you rub hard enough. And when the story is long, you simply live in it and feel like all the characters at once"(Olga Vasilkova)

Anastasia Tkacheva (born 1993) — graphic designer and illustrator from Minsk. Draws for game apps and children's books. Winner of the first season of the "Super Cover" illustration competition by the "White Crow" publishing house.
