The main characters of the fairy tale are the fearless noble children Sasha and Liza, who escaped to the front lines in the heat of the fighting. They are accompanied by the magical mice Timka and Tinka, who accidentally ended up in 1812. Together with the characters, readers will find themselves on the Borodino battlefield, in burning Moscow, and will even visit Napoleon's kitchen! Read about how Napoleon almost ate soup with castor oil, how French cats treat Russian mice taken prisoner, and how the children and mice saved each other (and the Kremlin too!) in our historical fairy tale novel! The adventure plot and proven historical facts will help children gain a deeper understanding of the era. History will come alive, become clear and relatable.
