About the book
You can never have too many friends. They are all so different that you could write an entire book about it! Get to work! You certainly can't do it alone—ask all your friends to fill the pages with questions. You will learn a lot of new things about each other and have a good laugh together.
About the authors
Labor Ateliergemeinschaft is a creative association of eight professional graphic designers, graphic artists, illustrators, and authors. It was founded in 1999 in Frankfurt am Main.
The creative laboratory includes various creative people who create joint or individual projects. These include books for children and young people, publications in newspapers and magazines, book covers, novels, screenplays, plays, materials for educators, lectures, seminars, exhibitions, and other projects.
Kirsten Fabinski was born in 1973. She lives in Frankfurt am Main with her husband and daughters Lotta and Millie, who are afraid of ghosts. Together with Tuni Fellener, she is part of the design team "FON ZUBINSKI". Throughout her life, Kirsten has frequently changed her hair color: from blue to red, and from red to white. Today she is a blonde.
Tuni Fellener was born in 1975. As a child, she wanted to be a truck driver or a tightrope walker. She loves cats. Tuni knows karate, speaks Italian, and makes the best spaghetti of anyone in the creative "Laboratory".
Christopher Fellener was born in 1971. He loves to sing and plays the ukulele, recorder, and guitar; he is currently learning to play the piano. He lives in Frankfurt am Main with his wife, Tuni Fellener. He is one of the founders of the "New Friends" toy agency.
Anke Kuhl was born in 1970. In 1999, she and Philipp Wechter founded the creative workshop "Laboratory". Anke loves reptiles, guinea pigs, and Greek dancing. She has published many books. She lives in Frankfurt am Main with her husband and two children, Lasso and Julie.
Jörg Mühle was born in 1973. As a child, he wanted to be a zoologist. But when he grew up, he started illustrating children's books. His hobbies are reading, visiting museums, and traveling to France. He lives in Frankfurt am Main. Natasha Vlahović (also from the "Laboratory") often keeps him company.
Moni Port was born in 1968. Unfortunately, she is allergic to cats, so she prefers to draw redpolls, blackbirds, and elephants. However, sometimes she also draws sad soccer players. Moni was born into a family of grape growers and ate nothing but grapes until she was 18. She is married to Philipp Wechter, and they have a son.
Natasha Vlahović was born in 1971. As a child, she spent her summer holidays on islands with strange names like Krk, Hvar, Cres, or Brač, where, unlike some of her other relatives, she never stepped on sea urchins. She likes dogs more than cats, but she also loves to draw pigs. She lives in Frankfurt am Main.
Philipp Wechter was born in 1968. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player, but that didn't work out. He also loves fishing. However, very few things ever bite his hook. Once, while snorkeling, he saw a real California great white shark. Philipp has published many books. He lives in Frankfurt with his wife, Moni Port, and their son, Johann.
Claudia Weichert was born in 1969. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Now that she is an adult, she not only illustrates children's books but is also an excellent skier. Claudia lives in Wiesbaden with her husband, daughter Frida, and ginger cat Max. She is the only one in the "Laboratory" who can wiggle her ears.
Alexandra McSainer is the author of the text prompts in the album "Make Whatever You Want! Crazy Ideas".
