Old MacDonald had a farm. "There's so much work to do on the farm. If only I had a wife—she could help me," old MacDonald used to dream. So when he discovers that a little genie is hiding in his teapot, the first thing he asks the genie for is Mrs. MacDonald. Mrs. MacDonald asks the genie for a baby, the baby asks for a puppy, the puppy asks for a cat, and the cat asks for mice. The mice ask for a football and a big loud whistle, and very soon the farm becomes unbearably noisy and crowded. Will the genie ever be able to breathe freely again? If only someone could grant his wish, for genies cannot wish anything for themselves—only for others.
