The Kid and Karlsson-on-the-Roof

Imagine that one day a little chubby man with a motor and a propeller on his back flies past your window with a buzz and says: “Hello! May I land here for a minute?” That is exactly how the characters from one of the most popular children’s books—Muppy and Karlsson-on-the-Roof—met. The book was written by Astrid Lindgren, a wonderful Swedish writer who authored thirty children’s books translated into almost every language in the world. They have received the most prestigious awards, including the Andersen Award (“the small Nobel”), and have been adapted into live-action and animated films and stage plays.
