Year after year, Little Santa Claus is always the first to decorate the Christmas tree and prepare gifts. And now he is going to his neighbor's house to get powdered sugar for Christmas cookies. There, Little Santa Claus discovers that the village is empty again: all the big Santa Clauses have gathered at the house of the Chief Santa Claus and are mysteriously discussing something. Not only do they not let him in, but they also laugh behind the closed door. "Let them burst with laughter!" Little Santa Claus decides and heads into the forest. Surely he will find real friends there who will support him!
This is Anna Stöner's fourth book about the adventures of Little Santa Claus, who is known to readers from the books "Little Santa Claus", "Little Santa Claus Goes to Town" and "Little Santa Claus Travels Around the World". In Henri Willink's large Christmas pictures, Little Santa Claus seems especially small. And children, who see the adult world as huge, will be happy to find a new friend who is like them and go on a journey with him.
Henri Willink was awarded the New York Times newspaper award for his illustrations.
