This is a graphic novel that is rightly considered one of the best illustrated stories for children and teenagers. It all started with a play by Canadian author Fanny Britt, telling the story of a girl named Ellen, who was rejected by all her school friends. Isabelle Arseno, known for her graphic adaptations of classics, came up with a magical story based on it. The story has room for kindness, friendship, beauty, and hope for a happy ending. "Jane, the Fox and I" received the Governor General's Literary Award, and The New York Times newspaper called it one of the best children's illustrated books of 2013. This is, of course, a children's book, but not only. As The Guardian newspaper writes, "This graphic novel is so beautifully drawn and elegantly told that I am sure it will appeal to adults too - especially those who cannot remember their school years without shuddering."
