Alyosha is only five years old. His parents have gone north to work, and he lives in the village of Ushinka with his grandmother, his kitten Zubastik, and his friends: his old godfather, Alyonka, and Vasilek. And for a little person, a year is a long time—no two days are alike! Spring, summer, autumn, and winter are all filled with countless wonderful discoveries, exciting adventures, and, of course, important lessons!
Olga Fadeeva illustrated Yuri Tretyakov's short stories for the very young, bringing mischief and the colorful world of childhood imagination to life in her vibrant drawings.
