Golden Altida is a land of freedom and joy, where even the noblest marry for love. However, the royal family is allowed only one heir. And the Tsar has no power to challenge this law. Even if it requires him to part with his wife forever – to send her away with her unborn child to the farthest temple.
Oh, if only Lake Thun, which leaves scars, could be found in this world! But how do you know about it, Queen Artemis?..
Lita is the daughter of unruly parents. She lives in the forest, can hear the wind, and always knows when someone nearby needs her special help. It seems nature itself has chosen the girl to be a guide through life – but what if one day life demands war and death?
Lita's story is the fifth in Tamara Mikheeva's fantasy series "Seven Spindles". In these books, the writer's skill is revealed in a new way, and the fairy tales acquire a special depth and parable-like quality. They can be read in any order, discovering one after another the stories of girls who must make their choice – to destroy or preserve worlds.
