The first book in the "Lightfall" series introduces Bea and Cade, two friends who are trying to save their world from falling into eternal darkness.
Deep in the heart of the planet Irpa is the House of Tonics and Tinctures for the Salty Pig, home of the wise Wizard Pig and his adopted granddaughter Bea. As guardians of the Endless Flame, they live a quiet and peaceful life, creating medicines and potions for the people of their once-prosperous world.
All this changes one day when, while walking through the forest, Bea meets Cade, a Galdurian, a member of an ancient race that is believed to have long since gone extinct. Cade thinks that if anyone can help him find the missing, it is the Wizard Pig.
But when they both arrive home, the Wizard Pig is nowhere to be found: all that remains is a jar of Endless Flame and a mysterious note. Fearing for the Wizard Pig's safety, Bea and Cade set out across Irpa to find him, while danger emerges from the shadows into the light.
Will these two unlikely friends be able to find the beloved Wizard Pig and prevent eternal darkness from enveloping their world? Or has Irpa truly seen its last sunrise?
