When a girl named Valya found a small, emaciated fox cub in the forest and brought it home, she could never have imagined how her life would change! At first, the little animal caused his owners no small amount of trouble. But then he saved them out of difficult situations more than once and even saved Valya's life! The clever little red fox became a true member of the family and the darling of the whole village! This true story was told to Elena Lopatina-Kibis by her grandmother. As it turns out, she had a fox cub of her own! The story "The Adventures of Uika" earned the author the title of first-degree laureate of the F. M. Dostoevsky Youth Literature Award. For younger school-age children.
