For whom

For reading and doing together with children aged 5 and up.

About the series:

The book series about old man Pettson and his cat friend Findus, who live in the countryside, was created by Swedish artist Sven Nurdqvist in 1984. Since then, these characters have become known all over the world: the books have been translated into many languages.

The books about Pettson and Findus have become a new children's classic. Plays, computer games, apps, coloring books, calendars, and gift sets have been made based on them. Several generations of children in Sweden and Russia have grown up reading them.

Critic's review:

I fell in love with Nurdqvist precisely because of his illustrations, funny and touching. They take you straight back to your own childhood: remember what it was like to lie in the grass and imagine yourself a little person living in a grassy forest? All the leaves, bugs, and ants turn out to be your size, and so much is revealed in this tiny world! That is exactly what happens when you look at Nurdqvist's illustrations — each page presents such a little world. In addition to the main characters, who are very distinctive, literally every little bug and every flower has its own life and character as well. Ekaterina Golubeva. "Papmam book"
