The year 1300. Powerful nobles have rebelled against your king. The king tasks you with suppressing this rebellion. Your goal is to capture the castle where the rebel leader has taken refuge, thereby putting an end to the unrest. It would be good if you could do this without resorting to force, but if the castle's inhabitants resist, which is quite likely, the king allows you to lay siege to the castle in order to capture it by storm or force its defenders to surrender.
Your opponent is bold and ambitious, and his castle is garrisoned by a large and well-trained force. To succeed, you must carefully plan your actions.
You will learn:
- How to plan and conduct a military campaign to capture a well-fortified castle, choosing the best strategy and tactics;
- How to conduct an assault on enemy fortifications and how to arm your soldiers;
- What tricks and stratagems besiegers and defenders use to overcome their opponent.
And much, much more…
The book contains over 50 color illustrations.
