The city of Fortuga, a secret haven for darkwalkers, is Vika's best hope of finding out where her missing aunt is, for a cartographer lives there whose map can reveal the whereabouts of anyone in Vosmire. However, the city teaches her an old lesson — not all wishes come true immediately, and far from everything goes the way you want it to. On her journey to her goal, Vika awaits a string of trials and surprises: an encounter in the rays of a night rainbow, a dangerous witch that she will have to rescue her friend from, and a difficult choice for the sake of her aunt who has fallen into trouble.
