In the small seaside town of Cranberry, Aunt Maria reigns unofficially. No one can resist her charm, which is harder than steel and more deadly than poison. But something strange is clearly happening in Cranberry: the men have turned into spineless zombies in grey suits, all the children have been locked up in the local orphanage, and Chris Lester—the main character's brother—has turned into a real wolf. No, it couldn't be that Aunt Maria had anything to do with this: after all, she is so kind, so lovely, so wonderful! For middle-grade children.
