This book is about little ones whom fate forced to grow up. The stories of ordinary children, forced to learn firsthand what war and blockade really mean, will touch every heart. The little heroes of this book remained just as caring in those terrible days: surrounded by enemy forces or at the front, under occupation or in evacuation, they continued to read and draw, write poetry and compose music, sing, make films, and dance. And above all, they continued to believe and bring Victory closer with every step they took.
