Do you know who the Gorgels are?
The Gorgels live on the Island in secluded burrows. They come out at night, feed on blackberries and Gorgelberries, and never show themselves to people. Since time immemorial, the Gorgels have carried out a secret mission: the best of them become Gorgel Guardians and go to the mainland, to the people, to protect their children from the Harmfuls, who cause children to catch colds, the flu, and other illnesses.
Every year, when the months with an "r" in their name arrive, the Harmfuls wake up from their summer slumber and begin to plague people. But this time they have decided to infect the inhabitants of an entire city with the flu…
"The Gorgels. The Big Rescue Operation" is a sequel to the books "The Gorgel World" and "The Gorgels", the latter of which won the Dutch Children's Jury Award in 2016 and was named the best children's book of the year in the Netherlands.
