Where Was Ded Moroz Born? Alexander Tkachenko

Everyone knows Ded Moroz, who brings gifts to children for New Year and Christmas. It is also known that in Europe and America he is called Santa Claus. But many will learn for the first time from this fascinating book that the legend of Santa Claus (this name translates into Russian as Saint Nicholas) is based on the life story of Saint Nicholas of Myra, who in Russia has always been called Nicholas the Wonderworker. Vivid episodes from the life of the saint, who is always ready to come to the aid of those in trouble, will reveal to children and adults why sailors, drivers, pilots, and even astronauts revere Saint Nicholas so much, and will help readers better understand the essence of Christianity and Christmas traditions.
