Dal was a sailor and served with Admiral Nakhimov. Dal was a remarkable surgeon and studied alongside Nikolai Pirogov. As a doctor, Dal fought in two wars, and he was also a brave soldier—once managing to defeat an entire enemy army… with a single axe blow. And then there was the perilous Bukhara campaign! So much happened in his long and fascinating life. But this raises the question: if Vladimir Dal spent his entire life so busy with military and civil service, when did he find the time to compile his famous dictionary? To find out, you’ll have to read this book! This is the second edition of the book “Vladimir Dal.” It was so popular that it sold out in no time.
