Vetana is a life mage—there’s no longer any doubt about that, which means sooner or later the Temple’s trackers will start hunting her. What should she do? Run? Hide from the whole world, change her name, forget her calling, and pray they won’t find her?
If only it were that simple! But a life mage whose gift has awakened cannot refuse to help the sick. Never. No one. And people—they’re all different. Who knows what will carry more weight: gratitude or the desire for a reward? Who can she trust and rely on? Who can she open her heart to without fear? And won’t the young healer end up in the dungeons of the Khamosov after another “miraculous” healing?
