Every year, Max, a golden Labrador, spent a few days at the veterinary clinic. It was unpleasant but bearable, given that his owners always came back and he always enjoyed making new friends. This time, his neighbor turned out to be an elderly black Labrador named Madame Curie, a dog with a wealth of life experience and a great sense of humor. Time flew by while chatting with her, but suddenly the day came when Max was left alone. No one came to pick him up from the clinic. No one brought him food. All the neighboring cages were empty. The wise Labrador had sensed something bad was coming and clearly knew something…
