Whatever the devious Br'er Fox comes up with, the resourceful Br'er Rabbit always foils his plans. And that is no small feat, for this long-eared rascal may be small, but he is mighty. It is no wonder that young Joel rushes to Uncle Remus every evening with such keen interest to hear about Br'er Rabbit and his friends. The collection contains retellings of the tales by Mikhail Gershenzon and Irina Chistyakova. The book is made all the more delightful by the colorful and expressive illustrations of the famous English artist Rene Clarke. For younger schoolchildren.
