The touching and funny story of Penny introduces the reader to the enchanting world of fairies.
Penny Nutheart, a fairy the size of a peppercorn, is terribly unhappy that a nasty boy named Marcus Starfish comes to stay with her neighbor for the summer. Penny and her friends declare war on the unbearable Marcus and prepare a "Go Away" cake, after tasting which the boy will disappear and stop bothering them. The recipe for the cake is anything but simple — Marcus's hair, laughter, and tears must be added to the magical dough.
But now that all obstacles are behind them, the cake can be presented to the boy, however Penny is no longer sure whether she really wants him to disappear...
