What a disappointment for Lisa the cat it was to meet the aggressive mice! And yet, for their sake, she left her owner — the confectioner Cream — and set out on a dangerous journey. How could she have done otherwise? Real cats always catch a couple of mice for lunch. However, these gray creatures almost ate Lisa herself! After all, she smelled so deliciously of cinnamon. And no wonder — the cat was baked from dough. This was a RICH BUN Lisa.
After reading this book, little readers will not only learn about the adventures of Lisa the cat, but will also meet the characters of other fairy tales by Viktor Lunin: a sad little cloud and a baby elephant who couldn't read, a brave hedgehog and a giraffe who wanted so badly to play hide-and-seek… And also — by carefully studying the recipe, you can bake a cat from dough yourself (or with your mom)… Or a baby elephant and a calf? A hedgehog and a fox? A cloud and a boat?.. Who knows who you'll want! All you have to do is use your imagination a little.
A Little Foreword
Since childhood, I wanted to have a dog, a cat, or at least a turtle at home. But my parents wouldn't allow it. I remember how a little pretty cat once came to our dacha. So clean, so gray, with clear blue eyes. She kept walking around me and rubbing against my legs. But when the cat decided to enter the house with me, my mother pushed her away and shouted that the cat was surely contagious and had no place in the house. No matter how much I objected, no matter how much I cried, it was all in vain. You can't argue with your mother. And the cat understood immediately, looked at us reproachfully, and left, never to return.
This little cat touched my soul. And years later, I began writing a fairy tale for my little daughter, where the main heroine was a cat. I wrote for a long time. A whole eleven months. I brought it to the publisher, and they said: "We already published a fairy tale about cats three years ago. That's enough. We don't need any more." But I wasn't very upset. Because I could see for myself: it was too early to publish the fairy tale, something was missing from it.
The fairy tale lay in the drawer for ten years. I only finished it when we got a cat, Marsik, a beautiful ginger cat with a snow-white bib on his chest, white socks on his paws, and eyes like green gooseberries. In an instant, he would leap to the top of the bookcase, knocking everything in his path onto the floor. And he also tried to type on the typewriter with me and learned to wake me up at night, turning on the light with his paw when he wanted to eat. I observed all his movements, all his tricks and habits, and gave them to the characters of the story, Lisa and Valeryan. And only then did the fairy tale finally truly come to life. In this book, you will read not only the fairy tale itself, but also the songs of all its main characters.
