One day, twelve-year-old Petka finds himself in a fairytale land that cannot be found on any map—the Land of Eternal Holidays. Petka awaits gingerbread and fruit jelly, circus shows, daily trips to the movies, and other fun activities. And no school! Now everything in the world entertains and delights the young holidaymaker. Only Valerik, Petka's best friend, for some reason does not succumb to Grandfather Frost's charms and grows increasingly distant from his companion. An entertaining story by the renowned writer and classic of children's literature Anatoly Aleksin, illustrated by Boris Vinokurov.
